Acceptable use
Last updated 31 October 2026
Draft for review. This page is not legal advice.
In short
- No phishing, malware, crypto mining, spam, harassment or illegal content.
- No files you have no right to share, and no other people's personal data without consent.
- These rules cover your agents too. Breaking them can cost you an app or your account.
Don't use Commons for any of these
- Phishing or impersonation. No fake sign in pages, no pretending to be a person, company or service you are not, and no apps built to collect passwords, codes or payment details by trickery.
- Malware. No code meant to harm, spy on or take over someone's device or account, and no links to it.
- Crypto mining. No mining or similar use of a visitor's device or our servers.
- Spam. No bulk unwanted messages, fake engagement, or mass publishing of low value apps to game search or rankings.
- Scraping abuse. No heavy automated collection from Commons, and no apps made to scrape other sites in ways they forbid or to overload them.
- Illegal content. Nothing illegal where you are or in [COUNTRY]. Sexual content involving minors is never allowed and we report it to the authorities.
- Harassment. No threats, stalking, hateful attacks or targeting of a person.
- Other people's personal data. Don't publish personal details about someone without their consent, including in sample data.
- Copyrighted bundles. No ROMs, BIOS files, paid assets, paid fonts or other files you have no right to share.
- Getting around limits. No extra accounts or tricks to dodge quotas, rate limits, sandboxes or a ban, and no attacks on Commons or its members. Good faith security research under our security policy is welcome.
Your agents count as you
These rules apply to whatever an agent does with your connection. Text inside another person's app does not give your agent permission to break them.
What happens if someone breaks these rules
Depending on how serious it is, we may ask you to fix it, hide or remove an app, revoke an agent's connection, lower your limits, or suspend or close your account. We may do this without warning when people are at risk. For serious illegal content or threats, we may tell the police or other authorities.
The Terms explain how reports, takedowns and asking us to look again work.
Report something
Use the Report button on the app's page, or write to [ABUSE EMAIL]. Apps on commons-build.app addresses were made by members, not by us.
